Jana Grill & Bakery

Today was first time here and I enjoyed the food. This is most likely a family run spot so they get an extra ⭐. They were extremely nice and concerned that my order was right. Another ⭐. As for the food, I ordered a simple chicken wrap with tahini, pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce ⭐. I really enjoyed the way they grilled the pita. Nice and smokey, I can still smell the smoke on my hands. Another ⭐. I ordered a side falafel. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the insane. Another ⭐. Overall, a good place to eat with fresh ingredients. Next time, I'll dig deeper into the menu and not order something so basic.

Jana has finally reopened after their fire last year. We went tonight and it was excellent. We got the Armenian beef/pork lash kebab, the Armenian salad (roasted vegetables) and the rice pilaf. The meat was mixed with perfect spices. The pilaf has carrots and chick peas. Those three things were the perfect amount of food for two people.

One of my favorite places in town. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is so cozy. They have a great selection of food. You have a chance to try some Russian dishes as well. My favorite dishes are chicken kebab, eggplant caviar, khinkali, and chicken wrap. Interesting fact, that if you want to try khinkali you need to go there on Wednesday. However, you need to call them on priority and tell them the quantity you need. They also have a great wine selection. The House wine is good. The customer service is great, everyone is so nice. They have their own parking, it is convenient because you do not have to drive around and search for the parking.

We had had great dining experiences in Boston so we decided that choosing this place, near our AirBnB was not too much of a risk. Well it was a huge risk. I got a Jana platter with chicken that was so parsimonious, so dried out and tasteless, that I literally couldn't finish it, and I'm a huge eater. The Egg McMuffin I had this morning was like ambrosia for the gods compared to this dried out, day-old tasting chicken. To add insult to injury it was expensive (and I left a tip).
