Golden Palace Restaurant

My daughter and I are vegetarians, and for years all that’s been available are sponge-like Tofu dishes. But now there are better, more realistic tasting alternatives to Tofu but most restaurants still haven’t gotten onboard. When my wife and I were ordering Chinese Food tonight, I stumbled upon their Vegetarian Section and was surprised to see so many classic meat dishes available as vegetarian alternatives, so I ordered two dishes to try; General Tso’s and the Barbecue Spare Ribs, both with mock meats. Both dishes were fantastic! I actually took the time to call them and tell them and they asked that I write a review, so here it is. This is now my go-to Chinese restaurant.

Pro's & Cons Pro's: The food is fresh & well made. I personally ordered Pork Fried Rice & Chicken Wings; it was all very tasty. The staff is professionally friendly and the environment is clean with a luxurious interior. Con's: The portion of rice I received was very little; unlike other restaurants I normally end up getting full with a lot of food still left on the plate for later or next day --- not here though, not enough rice. The prices are also a bit on the higher end, I can normally get the same exact dish with a lot more food inside at other restaurants for a lower price of $6.33 and that's with taxes, in this restaurant the same dish of Pork Fried Rice with Chicken Wings as a lunch special cost $8.00 and was lacking rice.
