Two Grey

Two Grey really is a dining experience! I recently came with family for the high brunch and really was blown away by it! The food was impeccably prepared and presented. Absolutely delicious! It is very well worth a visit if you're in the central city looking for a great quality meal. The staff are attentive, helpful and happy to work with any dietary needs.

As busy as Two Grey Cafe was on late Sunday morning the host Asif Prasla worked calmly and provided excellent service. He was friendly and respectful when asking us to wait a while so he could organise a table for us. Shortly after we were seated we were provided with water and the menu, and not long after we were able to order, so our wait time was not too long. The food was generous portions, and cooked to perfection in terms of taste, quality and presentation. The flat white coffee was the best coffee I have had in a very long time. I told a wait staff (Tim) how much I enjoyed the coffee and wanted to know what type of coffee this was. Tim came back with the coffee beans to show me the brand. He was so friendly. We enjoyed coming to Two Grey Cafe so much. Thank you for the wonderful experience in Wellington. We will highly recommend your Cafe to everyone we know.

I just don’t think the staff are fully trained, they seemed unsure of what to do at times, they had run out of ingredients for some food, the barman definitely needed training as two alcoholic drinks were horrible tasting and took way too long to make. The Wagyu beef burger tasted like any other burger, the fish looked beautiful, Caesar salad, albeit with dry chicken was insatiable and I didn’t want it to end, the Apple Crumble, despite way too little cream was divine. The young chap serving us was very professional, had great etiquette, always polite and he didn’t need to write any of the six orders down which was incredible; very impressed. Their Sonos audio system was perfectly tuned, the music at the perfect sound level and overall atmosphere of the restaurant very inviting. Despite quite a few issues I would definitely go back as overall it showed promise.

Breakfast time. The coffee was great, as well as the breakfast, grilled zucchini and poached eggs with crumb, and a side of cold smoked salmon. It all tasted great, however the service was slow, didn’t bring water to the table, and forget my salmon. Had to remind them of my original order. Cannot knock the quality of food and taste though. I would go back

I must say I had a wonderful experience at this place. I ordered the egg benedicte but scrambled eggs, which was meant to come with croissants but they were all out. So they gave me other options. I opted for sourdough bread. The whole meal was just perfect. The eggs were well done, just how i like it, they did not dry out and they remained juicy throughtout my whole sitting (I ate slow). They allow flexibility to orders, so, love that. And lastly, the kumara fries!!!! They were amazing, highly recommanded! Anyways thank you Two Grey🥰
