Brew Ha Ha

After being a long time fan of Brandywine coffee roasters, and a huge fan of Todd Purse, I finally made the trip up to Delaware from Baltimore. I grabbed a coffee, and a egg & cheese on biscuit. The service was amazing, and the sandwich was super tasty. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because I really wanted to try some of the single origin coffees that I’ve been ordering online for so long. I also wanted to grab a few bags of coffee to bring back with me(the ones with the nice wax stamp) but there wasn’t anything available. Other than that, it’s located in a cute little neighborhood with easy free parking!

I’ve been coming here for years and have always loved their coffee and the environment. I spend a lot of my free time visiting local coffee shops and I’ve always considered this location as having hands down the best coffee in Delaware. However recently they stopped offering pour overs so if you are interested in trying new single origins or blends you are limited to whichever coffee they have on drip. I stopped by today and all they had was a dark roast and a medium/dark blend on drip. Brandywine Coffee Roasters still produces by far the best coffee in the area but I really wish the shop would take pride in giving customers the opportunity to try the excellent coffee roasted by BCR but it seems that is not the case anymore.

I know it isn't easy to find good servers, but the woman who took my order could barely hide her disdain for me, life, coffee...who knows. When I went back in to let them know they bagged the wrong flavor coffee cake, she rolled her eyes. I've worked in food service, I am always polite, and say please and thank you. I expect the same.

I would give the coffee 5 stars but the bagel sandwiches 3 stars. The bagels themselves were delicious. But the sandwiches were a whole lot of bagels and not a lot of the other stuff. The interior was decorated very nice for Chirstmas and Santa was there. The place was very busy the entire time we were there but we were able to find a table.
