Sushi Delight

Food is mediocre, soy sauce looks moldy. Also no public washroom and water is served in some sort of adult sippy cup. Not to mention they don't offer tap to pay for purchases. Highly inconvenient and they don't explicitly tell you that which is alarming because I almost couldn't pay for my order. Presentation is beautiful I will admit that. I respect its a local business but I came on a non-busy day. I've tasted better sushi in Winnipeg and this place is lacking.

Had dinner on a Thursday night, we were the only diners so food came out fast. Miso soup was good, shrimp tempura was great, tuna belly and salmon sashimi were ok but cuts were a tad small, nigiri was good but sushi rice could be better, the scallop roll was good but too small. Overall it was a good dining experience though there are cheaper places with comparable quality and better quantity. If you are near this area it is a good quick sushi fix but i will not drive all the way out there coming from Transcona.

My wife has the pictures, but let me be absolutely clear. This couple not only wants you to enjoy the flavor but also the presentation too. We have been there maybe 10 times at least and have not been disappointed. Everything is so fresh and tastes amazing. No fishy smell. The price is a bit higher, but well worth it. It's a hidden gem!

So I ordered takeout since I wanted to try this place out from what I’ve heard from friends. Phoned in for my order and was told it would be ready in an hour. An hour passes and I come in to pick it up but they seemed confused and flustered. I realized that my order was not made at all. Not sure why. I believe the lady said they’ve given it to someone else(?). She apologized and I’m still down for the food because mistakes happen, it’s alright. Lady told me 10 minutes and she’ll bring it out to me as they rush to make my order. 10 minutes later and I got my food. Now for the sushi. Nothing special, I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt since they made my order within 10 minutes but yeah, everything was subpar. Spicy mayo was little bit liquidy and not a lot of significant flavours popped out.

Support Local! 9 years and now more than ever, we should support our favourite Sushi restaurant 💜 Wow, I cannot beleive I've been going here for over 8 years now. I have tried other sushi places (in this city and abroad), and I have to say, hands down, this is my favourite place. Food: The food quality is amazing, they have a great selection of food and is suitable for vegetarians, people who eat sea food and people who eat chicken (so something for everyone!). Location: This little restaurant is tucked away, off of Notre Dame, near Red River College. It is a small restaurant, but is only run by 2 people, the owners, so the size is perfect. Parking: Parking is free and sufficient for the restaurant capacity. The lot is always clear of snow and easy to access. Value: The value is amazing! The food quantity is amazing and the prices are reasonable. Some of the most affordable food of this cuisine I've seen! Staff: Amazing. Husband and wife duo, you'll be greeted with smiles and served with the best in customer service. I would highly recommend this place, whether it's for a dinner for 1, 2 or 10!

This is a gem hidden in the North West end of the city. Its run by a sweet Korean couple. The prices are more than fair, the flavors are fine, and the fish to rice ratio one of the best in the city. The value is one of the best. I have had some have minor issues with the rice (I have very picky friends who also would complain about rice in a lot of the other restaurants), but aside from that, especially due to the price point, its very good. I rarely order sashimi here. Well I did once and was not impressed. Their strong points are in their basic rolls. The california roll does not have real crab, but the amount of avocado is good and the fake Krab is flavored. Be wary of the sauces unless you like Korean sauce, I've had a few people complain. You can just request with the sauce on the side to be safe. If its busy, the food may take awhile since everything is made fresh and there aren't that many people working in the kitchen.

wow. this place is my number one. i cannot describe how much me and my friend liked this place. it’s owned by a very polite couple and is quite small but very cozy! the food is absolutely exquisite. indescribable. you could taste every flavour individually, but also all together. we got 6 rolls and was under $40! great great price for great great quality. definitely recommend 10/10.
