Just had dinner here and the waiter was not only inattentive but also completely dismissive. He had a very short attention span and had no interest in making sure that what we ordered was what we wanted. Food was just ok but not worth the price. Best thing about the place was the outdoor seating. With so many places like this in the area, you would do better to skip this one and find a place where they were actually interested in you enjoying your meal.

Great grilled lamb chops, service was polite and prompt. Delicious escargot, chicken cutlet was exactly what one would expect. Would return, very nice and satisfying meal. Great outdoor ambiance, more quiet and pleasant than the busier areas.

WARNING FOOD POISONING. I got food poisoning from the Salmon tartare. The food wasn't good at all and expensive (not at all what is claimed). They refused to refund me. Do yourself a favour and try something else. I am very suspicious of these other reviews BEWARE!

Ils ont refusé de me rembourser. Essayer autre chose. Je suis très méfiant de ces autres commentaires. Méfiez-vous!

We had a great meal. She had the boeuf tartar and I the lasagne. The lasagna was absolutely fantastic! I can't say enough about it. The tartar was good, nothing amazing but not bad.

Read the good reviews but was disappointed. Hint one, we were the only ones there. My snails were good but I couldn't eat the andouille sausage entree. Friend's risotto was o.k. Other friend had a tasty steak. Good creme brulee but all in all, just o.k.

Had dinner here tonight. Best meal we have had in France so far. To be fair, Aix is full of good choices so its hard to go wrong, but this place had everything right about it. Being American, we showed up at 7:30 (when the restaurant opened) and were the first customers there. Did the three course price fixe menu. I had the calamari (not my favorite) and wife had salad with goat cheese on toast-- BEST APP EVER. The warm cheese with the bread was absolutely top 5 things I have ever eaten. Next came a salmon for her and duck for me--duck was very meaty, not greasy at all. So full by dessert (but part of the 3 courses!) and had ice cream (good) and creme brûlée (soooooo good, tastes like a perfectly cooked marshmallow!)
With a half bottle of wine and sparkling water plus dessert coffee, bill was under 70 Euros. For value per dollar, this place simply can't be beat. Enjoy!

I had dinner here and it was wonderful. Small, quaint, and delightful. We each had a three course prix fixe menu. I ordered the salad, scallops, profiterole with ice cream. The salad was refreshing and exactly what I needed as a starter. The scallops were very fresh and cook just right. Not the least bit rubbery. The profiteroles were amazing. They were warm, the ice cream balanced the hot and cold, and the drizzled chocolate gave it an extra sweetness. Besides my dishes I tried the escargot which were great. The escargots were buttery, garlicky, and had a soft texture. I had a couple forks of pasta with scallops in a cream sauce. Again, the scallops were fresh and the cream sauce was not heavy. I also had a nibble at the cheese platter and ended with a coffee. Perfect dinner with great service. Highly recommended.

Nous y sommes allés en famille, installés dans une petite rue agréable au calme avec vue sur une jolie fontaine, nous y étions bien accueillis et bien installés.
Ma commande, une Calzone, qui était délicieuse ( pâte sublime) bien garnie (mon neveu a dû la finir :))
Mon fils fût ravi de sa salade César très bien présentée et mon neveu à bien apprécié son hamburger fait maison, bien copieux avec du pain fait maison. Le prix raisonnable pour la qualité et quantité!
Bravo au cuisinier! Serveurs professionnels et agréables.

Un des rares restaurants de Aix-en-Provence à proposer autre chose que des tartares et carpccio, dommage que ce ne soient pas des spécialités régionales. Bref, service et personnel OK. Prix un peut élevés pour ce genre d´établissement.

Serveur très avenant, terrasse à l'ombre et brumisateur en plus qui rafraîchi agréablement dans un passage déjà bien aéré.
Repas très bon et copieux, je vous conseille le poulpe grillé en plat, assaisonnement et accompagnement au top.
Prix plus que raisonnable.

Très bonne surprise serveurs aux petits soins plats agréable en bouche et à la vue. Souris d agneau exquis tartare de bœuf très bon juste très peu dans les assiettes pour le prix après nous sommes gourmands 😉

Nous cherchions un restaurant simple et familial en cette période de fêtes, et Le Piston a su parfaitement répondre à nos attentes. Très ouvert aux enfants, ils nous ont placé notre poussette dans un coin et ont réchauffé à température idéale la nourriture du bébé. Les pizzas étaient délicieuses, un choix très varié, une pâte fine avec un bord gonflé et croustillant, une garniture généreuse ! Petit plus pour le service rapide et agréable, avec une salle plutôt remplie !
