Avis sur Le Beffroi

Probably my worst restaurant experience to date. Their ability to seat a party of 21 with no wait on a Monday night should've told us the poor quality of the place. Their roof allowed in an almost constant drip right on the table. The absolute low point was when our waitress dropped a bottle of water on the table, smashing glasses and the salt shaker, causing glass to fly into peoples' food and drinks. The accident itself wouldn't have been a problem, if they'd actually apologised and hadn't taken far too long to clean up the glass on the table. Even after the clean up, there were still large chunks of glass on the table. Even when one of our party SWALLOWED GLASS, there was no offer of free meal or apology. We had to specifically kick up a fuss about the ruined meals, to which the (manager?) asked multiple times if one of our party had gone on to finish a glass filled salad that she'd sent away. And when they finally removed the glassed items from the bill, the service charge (which we still had to pay despite the terrible service) was mysteriously higher than normal. Food was okay, so if you want to risk a terrible response should an incident occur, be my guest.

Arriving in Aix on Xmas Eve, and almost set my heart on a baguette, cheese and wine dinner, I walked into Le Beffroi and thank goodness they are serving dinner! Got their Prix Fixe with saumon tartine to start, moules frits to savor, and chocolat mousse to conclude. Food was wonderful and service was quick and friendly. Really appreciate being served a sit-down dinner in a French countryside cafe on this special evening!

It's pouring rain and a Sunday night, two combinations that don't do well in Aix. We had spent the day in Marseille and just wanted a nice dinner before heading home, thankfully this place was open and had what I wanted....Moules!!! Food was decent not fantastic but after a long day sightseeing and coming home to a downpour it did well for us. The service was good. €9 for a half bottle of wine was really great as well.

My biggest first world problem when traveling to France was how they stopped serving lunch at 2pm sharp. How could I gorge myself with a 3 course meal and bottle of wine before 2pm everyday? Thankfully, Le Beffroi had a sign saying service all day :) I thought the food here was good - not amazing but good. Considering, at 2:30 my options for lunch service were limited, I won't complain. The pizzas are good and so is the gazpacho soup. After a bottle of wine I didn't really notice! The service here was very friendly and chatted with us once the main crowd had left. I liked the setting to...canopies and couches under the sun. Felt a bit "LA" in little Aix. There are a lot of restaurants on this road but this is the only one that will let you mange all afternoon.

Have been two this little resto twice now, in both cases, for a quick pizza with a "pichet du vin." (If you get a pizza with lots of cheese - say the quatre frommage - you'll get lots of cheese! But if you go the fruit de mer route, you may spend a goodly part of you meal admiring the cheese on your friend's pizza. Just how it is!) It is indeed, A-OK, but didn't knock our socks off. Certainly nicer when the weather is warmer - a nice square for watching the world go by, but they have a nice sheltered area with heaters during the winter. I also add this to the list of places where lunch ENDS promptly at 2:00 pm. I keep forgetting this little detail when dining in France; when it's time to leave, it's TIIME to leave!

Avid this place by all means! We were there for lunch, and this was a very unlucky choice. The service was awful and slow. The food was really bad - the steaks were hard even to cut, vegetables were cooked until tasteless condition, and the mussels were not very fresh. This is probably the worst restaurant I have ever been in France.

Nous nous sommes arrêtés au Beffroi pour déjeuner un dimanche midi et nous avons pu être assis en terrasse directement. Nous avons choisi les fusilli aux fruits de mer, les moules marinières et l’escalope de veau sauce aux girolles. Nous avons été servi en bon temps, ni trop rapide ni trop long et avons tous été satisfaits de nos plats. Les moules étaient de très belle tailles, la sauce aux girolles était délicieuse; les deux servis avec de bonne frites. Il y avait aussi une bonne part de salade servie avec le veau. Dans les fusilli aux fruits de mer, ces derniers étaient en bonne quantité aussi et le tout était délicieux. Nous avons pris un café gourmand comprenant un petit café, un fondant au chocolat, une crème brûlée et un tiramisu aux spéculos. Nous avons aussi pris un fondant au chocolat servi avec de la glace vanille et de la chantilly. Le tout était agréable et la situation du restaurant est très agréable, à l’ombre du beffroi.

Le restaurant nous a bien contrôlé une fois que l'on était assis. L équipe est très agréable, sympathique, et professionnel. Nous avons été servis rapidement, nous sommes venu un dimanche midi. J ai adoré la bavette à l échalote. Un régal , vraiment délicieux, les prix sont corrects pour la qualité du plat. Je recommande.

Serveuses absolument adorables, toujours souriantes, et vous informent bien à propos de chaque assiette Le couscous poisson est extra! D’habitude, on le prépare avec du mulet, mais eux, ici, le font avec be (loup) ou dorade, de pêche et non d’élevage ! Emplacement très mignon, juste contre la Mairie, place des Cardeurs

Restaurant situé en haut de la place des cardeur derrière la mairie. Emplacement très touristique et agréable. Les plats servis sont fait maison et d'excellente réalisation. C'est aussi beau dans l'assiette que bon dans la bouche. De très bon rapport qualité prix. Le personnel et sympathique et à l'écoute. Je recommande vivement

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par la personne à l’entrée nommée pinpin, des serveuse souriantes et agréables, un service rapide et des plats fait maison très bon sans parler des desserts suggérés.. Nous ne sommes pas de la région mais si nous repassons nous reviendrons manger chez vous c’est certain, je recommande fortement !

Très bon moment, équipe très sympathique et bienveillante. Accueil extérieur très sympathique. Nouveaux propriétaires et nouvelle carte très variée. Le plat du jour était délicieux et très bien présenté. Bon conseil du serveur pour le dessert. On s'y sent bien. Nous recommandons et reviendrons.
