J. Cody's Steak And Barbeque

Always loved there food in college- come for the delicious meat but come back for all their amazing sides!!! I loved them so much that we booked them to cater our wedding. Jessica was so professional and nice to work with. She made sure everything was taken care of smoothly and put our wants/needs first always. I must have changed the menu on her about 10 times but she adjusted with ease! All of the guests loved the food, the presentation was beautiful, and the pricing is very affordable for the quality meal/service you get. I highly recommend them for any and all events!!

Best barbeque joint in Bryan/College Station. The smell walking in the door is amazing and the food matches. The staff is so friendly, courteous, and attentive. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The brisket is tender and moist. The burgers have an amazing hint of smoke. And the best meat available is the chicken thighs. So tender, juicy, and flavorful. Make sure to save room for the Cody Corn; the best side dish on the menu.

I'll get right to the point. Cody only seasons his brisket with salt, pepper, and garlic. It's the driest meat there is. Even the turkey is dry. When they serve you your plate, there are literally cracks in the dry meat. We all love jalapeno and cheese sausage. Yet- Cody refuses to make it because he doesn't want to be like the competition. Wouldn't hurt- cause the sausage is awful. There have been customers from Canada that said it was the worst dry brisket. What does that tell you?

Now this is a great place to eat!! The barbecue is excellent and the sides are awesome! If you are looking for some great barbecue and an awesome atmosphere then J Cody's is the place to go. I highly recommend it. Definitely a big thumbs 👍 up. If you haven't tried J Cody's then get you're hind end over there ASAP!

Was very psyched to try out J Cody after it was highly recommended by some folks I know. It was good, not great. I ordered a three meat plate (brisket, turkey and sausage), so I'd have leftovers and to try a little of everything. Sausage was pedestrian. Brisket was lean and still moist and the turkey was also moist and flavorful. Highly recommend both. Mashed potatoes/gravy were standard and the Cody corn was not as good as the waitress hyped it to be...too much onion, not enough jalapeno. Daughter's burger was fabulous. Homemade bread and cornbread fantastic. Desserts were peach and pecan cobblers. Peach was nothing to write home about, but serviceable. Pecan tasted like pecan pie according to my wife, good but not great. There you have it. I will go back to try the chicken fried steak and a steak.
