Hotel Aksayapavan Restaurant

This restaurant is easy to locate. Just near Children hospital in opposite side. My mom was admitted in Mercury hospital and this being near (opposite side) we used have food here. Parking is manageable in roadside of main road. Ambiance is simple and decent. Just another old hotel. Service was poor during my visit. Need to wait 10+ min just to attend / take order despite drawing attention. He is in hurry, couldn't even listen what we say. I asked for Pasi Paruppu dosai, he is telling parcel is getting late. Then ordered pongal he bought with vadai without enquiring. Later ordered Poori to have he parceled it and gave. Waiting time is huge for everything. I finished breakfast and waiting for bill, despite asking he is busy giving bill to who are still having. Doesn't know what to prioritize. Tastewise Pongal, vadai and Poori are good. Pongal was slightly overloaded with Dalda. Vadai and Poori could be bit more softer but not much to worry. Sambar with 2 chutney were decent. Even kurma came with Poori is decent. Pricing is reasonable considering quantity.

It is a budget Vegetarian restaurant on the busy Pantheon Road near the museum. The hotel is slightly interior that's why it is not that visible from the road. The food served is of quality and the rate is not so high. Meals in the afternoon is the crowd puller. Just outside the hotel, there is also a pan shop.
