Have given this place several chances. Food is OK, overpriced. The problem is the waitstaff. Extremely slow, and quite rude. Waited over an hour and a half for food, the waitress never once came to check on us to see if we needed drinks, apologize, explain, anything. Seemed offended when I mentioned it. Tried another time, waited over 20 minutes to get a table, no one else was waiting for one. When I finally approached a waitress and asked if we could seat ourselves she was extremely rude. Did not come to check it to see if we needed anything. We left. Won't be going back.

Disappointing. New menu said pasta bar was the special and they never even set it up. Soup was burned!!! Salad bar was ok (small but fresh) prime bites were very greasy, and pizza was bland. Waitress was nice, but inexperienced. Kept hearing new owner....like it was an excuse for everything. Not sure if I will go back.

Others at the table ordered from the menu and were satisfied with their choices. Two more ordered the Saturday night special prime rib. Medium rare 14 oz prime ribs were ordered. What was delivered were wafer-thin pieces of meat that could not have been more than 6-7 oz. weight. They were gray in color and appeared to either have been microwaved or heated in boiling water. The lack of juices on the plate were proof that the meat had not been cut from a roast or cooked on the grill. As far as taste, the only one discernible was one that comes from meat that has been sitting raw in the reefer for too many days. For a cook to place this on a plate for service rather than tossing it in the garbage tells a lot about commitment to quality and customer service. Save your money!

If you are looking for a Friday night fish fry in the Chippewa valley try Horizons Lounge & Banquet Center in Tilden. We hadn’t gone there in awhile and ventured back last night. So happy we did, delicious food and great service! The clam chowder soup was the best we have (ever) had, our fish was deep fried to perfection and my husband’s old fashion was spot on. We will be back 😊

We have both eaten here and had our wedding reception here! I think this place doesn't get the attention it deserves. For weddings in Eau Claire or the surrounding areas, it is just perfect. The prices are very appropriate and we got so many compliments for our menu by our guests. The banquet coordinator was patient with me even when I asked a bunch of questions or made changes. They even set up the hall for us, I just needed to drop off my stuff and show what I wanted. The hall itself is clean and works with most design styles with its neutral coloring. We were told by both sets of parents (who paid) that we picked well.
