We had the most wonderful lunch bath Pfeffel! 5 of us truly enjoyed it. The food and wine and service was excellent!

A cute exterior; a somewhat less cozy interior. We really enjoyed the munster and bacon flambé and our bottle of 2014 Schoffit Reisling traditional. Unfortunately, the escargot was vastly over cooked and the pork with stuffed ham and cheese was on the tougher side. In hindsight, we should have stuck with the Alsatian specialities. Friendly service. Not terribly overpriced; an overall pleasant, but underwhelming experience.

We were here midweek the last of September, so that will affect our experience. We ate close to 8pm, but they were not overly busy. It was chilly, so we opted for inside. We were seated upstairs. We received great service. I chose a local dish of "Alsatian stew" (don't remember the name in French), which was quite good- three kinds of meat with lots of sliced potatoes, carrots and leeks. The seasoning was a bit different in that it included clove. My wife chose the "Alsace Menu," which included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert, with choices for each one. For the starter she chose a "farmer pâté" that came with a European mixed salad, a wiener schnitzel entrée with fries, and 2 scoops of ice cream (choice of flavor) for dessert. Ended up being a lot of food! Everything was well prepared, and we felt was reasonably priced for the location/region.

After walking all around Colmar on a Sunday evening when most places are closed, we came upon the Restaurant Pfeffel. Lovely outdoor seating overlooking the square in front of the Museum. The quiche lorraine was excellent,the duck was delicious but the more adventurous of us had the blutwurst (blood sausage) with apples and pan fried potatoes. He said it was the best he's ever had. We had a nice Reisling recommended by the waiter and after dinner we had a Marc de Gewurtztraminer that was unusual and tasted like an excellent Grappe. Our waiter was helpful and attentive and even though it was quite busy, the service was very good. As we do not speak much French, his English was quite good as well as his French and German!

Solid restaurant with outdoor seating in a big plaza, but the service suffered significantly when it got busy. On the food front, the Fleishnacka was awesome (minced meat pastry roll thingy), but the Vol au Vent (chicken pot pie) was mostly tasteless. The wine was... well, it was pretty awful. But that was my fault for stupidly ordering a pinot noir in Alsace (though maybe they should just pull it from the menu entirely...).

Nicht zu empfehlen. Fantasieloses Essen, lieblos zusammengekocht. Wer draußen sitzen möchte, sollte sich ohnehin lieber ein anderes Restaurant suchen, da an der Straße, die am Restaurant vorbeiführt, ständig Busse vorbeifahren oder beschleunigende Mopeds und Autos.

Super expérience. J’y aller de temps en temps pour boire un coup et hier soir comme nous faisions visiter Colmar à un proche je me suis décidé à manger pour la première fois chez Pfeffel. Très bon service comme d’habitude, les clients sont pris au sérieux. Les prix pour un restaurant aussi bien placé sont vachement correct. Le cadre est super et l’architecture du restaurant très jolie puisqu’il est naturellement alsacien 😆 Nous avons goûté aux tartes flambés de la maison, elles étaient succulentes. La salade quand à elle, vraiment bonne. Je ne peux que recommander.

De passage à Colmar, nous avons très bien mangé. Beau, bon, et bien cuisiné avec des produits frais ! Très bon dessert…avec de la chantilly et du chocolat fondu maison, ce qui est rare maintenant dans les restaurants. Merci !
Sans oublier l’accueil du maître d’hôtel Olivier, prévenant, aimable et agréable ainsi que le service de la pétillante Sandrine, très serviable et adorable. Nous avons passés un très bon moment ! Merci à vous.

Sauf que c'est étroit se lever à chaque fois de table pour laisser la personne s asseoir pour l autre table.
Bruyant car les gens monter à l étage alors quand il y a 3 bus 😒

Avec une bonne étoile, vous pourrez réserver pour le soir même lors du marché de Noël.
Ambiance chaleureuse, très bon accueil de la part du personnel et excellent service de Quentin.
Les plats et desserts étaient bons avec un bon rapport qualité/prix.

Surtout bien penser à réserver car la plupart du temps c'est complet.
Nous nous sommes régalés, avec des assiettes très copieuses et le serveur était génial.
