Très bel endroit pour un départ en randonnée sur l'île du rhin.
Un petit restaurant à proximité très sympathique pour une pause au calme.

Première écluse après la frontière suisse lieu d'attraction pour le passage des bateaux avec un petit restaurant, et ce promener le long du RHIN pour observer la faune sauvage 'la petit camarge d'Alsace'... 👍

Just witnessed waterlock in a canal. Was midnight so could only watch from the ship's window. The whole process took around half an hour. Chamber was locked and water was drained off, can see the difference in water level in the pictures. Not the 1st time experiencing this water lock but this was at a bigger scale and it was amazing!

So ein Schleusenvorgang hat etwas meditatives, . Es dauert und dauert und irgendwie will man Anfang und das Ende mitnehmen. Für ungeduldigere Zeitgenossen gibt es glücklicherweise das Gasthaus next by.

Es bestehen zwei Schleusenkammern, die rund 20 Meter tief, 25 Meter breit und fast 200 Meter lang sind.
