Texas Steakhouse & Saloon Lumberton

Waited 45 min for 2 bowls of potato soup. Comes out was cream of potato. Not 1 potato in it. They told us that's the way it is. Used to have the best. Ask for a manager said she running errands. Few minutes later a young man came and spoke with us about it. Not sure he was a manager. Still had pay for the 2 cokes. It's OK though won't spend another dime there. Could have been handled totally different. Don't mind the wait just wished I could have gotten good food.

Where do I start....well they have good bread. This was one of my worst dinning experiences that I can remember. With most of these stakehouse style restaurants there may be some wait time before you are seated, which is okay to me. However, to have to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated, then a additional 15-20 minutes before you food is brought out. Just to be completely let down by poor quality and taste of your food. I ordered a Philly stake and cheese snack and my wife ordered....well see pic below. Both were horrible, tasted awful. I would not recommend this place AT ALL.

The staff are clearly doing their best, being heavily short-staffed. They were all friendly and polite. Our service was quick, our food was delicious, and the entire team seemed to be doing everything they could to keep the guests happy. If we lived in the area, I guarantee we would be regulars! It was a happy accident we ended up here while traveling, and i am very glad we did!

Ordered the catfish it was cold. My fries was warm. I got my Mac n cheese with foil as the top. I actually had to wait 24 minutes for my to go order to be cold. Would have gotten a refund but I’m just passing through town and wanted one of my favorite spots to eat. I pass here often and won’t be back.

I have visited this restaurant many times in the past and have had mixed results. I went in with big hopes of having the filet mignon but was told that they were out and it was still quite early in the evening. So I chose the sirloin with chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were not up to par as the size was very below average. The sirloin was completely full of gristle and I was unable to eat it. I could not even pierce it with my fork. I did speak to management and my server and was offered by them to cook another steak but I chose for them just to refund the money for the steak as I'm sure the next sirloin would be from the same stock. I realize it is out of Management's control of what steak they receive. Management and server we're very nice and professional and handled the issue correctly. They were very apologetic and thankful that I was very nice with my complaint. I would say that the broccoli was extremely good as was the loaded mashed potatoes. And the bread was fresh and hot and the cinnamon sugar always tastes great.
