I must agree that the food/price/service ratio is really good here.
I had pork cheeks with blood sauce (which I thought at first was chocolate/mole, than mushroom, than gave up trying to guess), which was nonetheless really good.
My dessert of caramelized pumpkin was ok, but the portion was bit off (too much pumpkin) and it was a bit heavy for me. The ice-cream made out of the pumpkin seeds was exceptional.
The area seems to have lots of great restaurants, being more in the Lyonaise business district and away from the touristy area, so if you can't get a reservation here the surrounding neighbourhood looks promising for other great finds in the future.
I usually visit fine restaurants for lunch because I love 3 courses menus. Not only may they tell you a lot about the chef's filosophy, but they could be also affordable. Well, Arsenic matched exactly what I was looking for: simplicity, seasonal ingredients and reasonable prices (23€ for 3 courses and 21€ for a bottle of white wine). The staff was professional and quick (we ate in 45/60 minutes), so that we could enjoy Lyon.
Came here for the surprisingly reasonable 22 euro set lunch. Considering it is priced at 4 dollar signs, I was shocked. For entree I had the herring with all sorts of salad and flavours and the duck with wok fried vegetables. Both were decent but nothing special.
This is an Asian fusion lunch, and as always in France, anything with an Asian spin is generally poor. The dessert also looked great but was nothing special. For this type of restaurant, the only really good thing was the price.

It's an intimate and quiet place even if it's full and everybody is talking at the same time thanks to the arrangement of the room. (We were with a baby and the baby could sleep all time.) The staff is very nice.
The food was very tasty, original, and good looking. I loved the celeris-oeuf-truffe to begin. The desert was also amazing (kaki-safran-blabla).
It's a very charming place, but you should reserve in advance if you go there.
I quite liked Arsenic. Although the service was extremely slow on the patio, the food was solid. The dinner started with two amuse-bouches: a) tuna bite with cheese and tomato on a chip and b) raw trout. Both were excellent. The appetizer was a raw seabream with ricotta. This dish was disappointing as it lacked flavour and quality (several fish bones presented in the dish). The main course was filets of veal with mini arrancini were delicious. Veal was cooked perfectly and the two sauces were divine. Dessert was a chocolate ice cream, raspberry sorbet and raspberry with chocolate biscuits. An aside on the quality of the raspberries. These little fruit morsels were of such high quality (tremendous, fresh flavour), I rated this dish the best dessert of France!! Enjoy France.
They always change the menu every week for lunch and for dinner.

Nous avons récemment eu le plaisir de dîner à l'Arsenic, et l'expérience a été exceptionnelle. L'accueil chaleureux a immédiatement donné le ton d'une très belle soirée. La sélection de vins était remarquable, chacun présenté avec passion et expertise.
Les plats, quant à eux, étaient excellents, la chef a fait preuve d'une maîtrise impressionnante, mélangeant subtilité des saveurs et présentation impeccable, dignes d'un établissement gastronomique.
Bravo à toute l'équipe et à la chef pour leur travail.
Belle decouverte que ce restaurant. Le lieu est chaleureux. La jeune cheffe et son equipe ont une cuisine créative avec de bons produits locaux et de saison. Le sommelier en salle est passionné par son metier et les vins qu"il propose. Nous avons passé un moment délicieux. Je recommande vivement.

Quatrième fois que je m’y rends pour un déjeuner en semaine ! C’est toujours succulent, le service est super et le cadre très sympathique.

Une cuisine raffinée et originale. Les mélanges des saveurs peuvent paraître étonnants mais au final c’est un délice pour les papilles. Et pour couronner ces excellents plats, le service est très sympathique et souriant. Agréable attention à la fin du repas avec le petit Nantais arrosé au rhum (un régal 😋).
