A découvrir !

Who said French portions are small? I was full from the starter!
This place is great. Fantastic service, quality food, generous portions and a great selection of food. We also had the best wine of our trip there. Overall, a must go for people who like a nice atmosphere, good food, and good wine.
As an added bonus, the waiter spoke better English than I do!

I had reservations going to this restaurant due to some of the reviews, however I had an excellent experience. My food was absolutely amazing as was whatever Red wine the waiter picked for me (just a glass). I had the salmon tartare which was awesome and the french fries that came with it were just as tasty!

I quite enjoyed our meal here, though I expected more finesse to the flavors.
Wines are by the bottle - on a Wednesday night they didn't have pitchers or carafes.
I started with the arugula salad - arugula, parmesan, tomatoes, vinaigrette. Some of the arugula leaves were yellow, and the vinaigrette lacked acidity or pepper.
For my main I had the daube de polpes (octopus red-wine stew with carrots and noodles). It was good, but again, I expected more depth of flavor - some richness/herbs/seasoning to the sauce. The octopus was tender, the vegetables were tender, the pasta was al dente.
For dessert I got a single boule of mint chocolate ice cream - nothing out of the ordinary.
Service was good, with our first server hard to explain the menu in English, even when we said that we did understand french. They did switch servers on us throughout the night, but it wasn't problematic.

This place is great! Right off the water you have views of the boats in the dock and the food is incredible. Wait staff is super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!

This place was so lovely! It gets very busy so would definitely recommend a reservation or come in early! We had the foie gras terrine and burrata to start which were both delicious. The terrine was one of the best I've had in Marseille. For dinner, I had the lamb shank and my husband had the shrimp risotto. The lamb shank was delicious and very memo. The best part of the meal was the banana Nutella tiramisu which we are still raving about.

Great food and great attention, waiter tried his best to communicate in English and made it a great dinner experience!

Food was mediocre. Service was terrible. We had the special entree + plat for one and plat + dessert; a duck egg roll that was pretty good, but the salad with it was drenched in oil and mustard as well as the wok tuna and noodles which was over cooked and rubbery. We were the second table in before the lunch rush and had a reservation and one of the last tables to leave because they were giving preferential treatment to locals over tourists. Didn't ask if food was good until they were taking it away. Also had to hound them for our dessert and check and wouldn't take payment until we went inside. We understand impatience and try to avoid that, but this was over 2 hours for just barley descent food.

Alice is by far the best waitress in all of Europe. Speaks English really well. Was so sweet, helpful, pleasant, and very attentive. We had the best experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious! Highly recommend the lamb! AMAZING

The reviews were good. The food not so much. Skip this one and look else where. You will do better eating at one of the restaurants a half block in from the port.

We thought we couldn't go wrong with this bouchon based on other reviews, but boy, were we wrong. Avoid this place.
We called ahead to reserve a table for two on a Friday night. They got all the details correct except for my husband's name -- which they mistook. When we got there, they had no record of our reservation under the correct name and told us we couldn't be seated (despite the restaurant being half empty when we arrived). After some back and forth and double-checking that this was indeed the restaurant we had called and reserved a table for, we took a look at the reservations list and realized our name had been taken down incorrectly (as "Adolf"!). I didn't catch an apology from the host at all.
Once we were seated, our waitress was nice. We ordered the arugula salad and two beef cheek daubes. Both were subpar. We found a few slimy, wilted leaves in the salad, and the daube's sauce was thin and flavorless. We've honestly made better at home. The noodles served under the beef and sauce were overcooked. Everything was underseasoned and not evenly heated through. We doubted the beef, which was slightly cold, was cheek as presented based on texture.
Again, avoid this place. It's a tourist trap that gets a lot of undeserved foot traffic, and the food is not good by any means.

The food may be average, but it is fine. Less attitude than its neighbors. The Frites are extraordinary.
