Lasse's Restaurant

Over the years we have been to Lasse’s many times. The past 4 times we have been here we received terrible service. The most recent one to this time was Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation and they gave our table away even though we were early. They then proceeded to seemingly forget about us at the table (next to the POS). We didn’t receive waters or another beer when asked for multiple times. They got my boyfriends order wrong and they didn’t offer to fix the dish at the time so he just ate it. Prior to that, we typically would order out and would constantly have items missing or meals wrong. The food here is amazing, but they don’t have the service to back it up. This is the final straw. We called in for hot food, ordered 3 hours in advance, and they took the order wrong and gave it to us cold. Management would rather back up their staff and tell you you’re wrong than actually resolve the issue with the customer. We will not be returning here as sad as it makes us due to lack of problem solving skills in management, and due to the lack of service from the front of house staff.

Really wanted to try this restaurant, however it is not handicapped accessible. When I called to make a reservation, I asked if it the restaurant was wheelchair accessible as a person in our party is in a wheelchair. The response really surprised me. The person said well, there isn't a ramp but the guys from the kitchen will come out and lift the wheelchair to get it into the restaurant . Really? No one in a wheelchair wants to be lifted up in the chair by the kitchen staff. What if they dropped the chair? Given the liability, why would a restaurant do this? Needless to say, I said no thanks.

Went with my husband for dinner. Ordered broiled scallops and asked for spinach instead of mixed veggies, was told there may be a $3 upcharge so I went ahead and ordered. When we got the bill it was a $6.95 upcharge!!! My husband ordered the fried clams and there were lots of shells and the scallops were gritty as well. Service was fine and food came out quickly so I gave three stars.
