Un vrai régal dans une ambiance atypique
We have now used Chez Toi chef service 3 times without any cause for complaint at all. This time around, we "upgraded" to the indulgent menu and whilst the experience has always been great, I was a little mindful that it may just be a little better with the odd canape thrown in. How wrong I could be. We were a group of 10 with two restaurant owners and a bunch of "foodies". Our chef Anthony was clearly accomplished and made everything from scratch, including all of the jus, sauces, pate's and desserts - nothing was simply bought in. From wild boar to lamb rack (with the loin removed from the ribs which were then used in the stock), beef wellington (perfectly cooked) fresh canapes, beautiful vegetables, garnish, all of the food was sensational, definitely 2 to 3 rosette level. Even the presentation was a delight. Anthony explained everything clearly, was enthusiastic and engaging (even after we all - not the chef - had an afternoon on vodka red bull !).
Most ski groups would assume that a private chef is an expensive luxury and whilst a luxury it is, it is not actually that costly compared to eating out every day - do the maths!
Can't recommend Chez Toi enough and will be using them again in the near future.
