Country buffet with a country theme. We stopped while passing through town because of the salad bar. It wasn't what I expected. Decent, but not what I had pictured in my mind. Limited veggies, no carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, olives... but you can get beets. My salad consisted of lettuce, cheese, croutons and dressing. The hot food section - my husband liked it, but it wasn't for me. No labels, so you had to guess what things were. From what we could tell there was: chicken and dumplins, corn, beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, Sunday roast, BBQ pork tenderloin, fried chicken and catfish, a taco casserole dish, rolls, cabbage, green beans, greens, peas, and a few dessert options. The place was fairly packed and it seems like a hot local spot. So, it depends on what you are looking for. Overall between my husband and I, we give it a 3.25.

VARIED MENU… Traveling through Paris, we stopped at the Old West Steakhouse. Food was good and plentiful. I had the beef tips with grilled vegetables. Service was swift and the menu featured fish, chicken, pasta and of course beef. Prices were reasonable. The meal begins with dinner rolls and honey butter. The only blip for me was that my salad appeared to be salted. Unless, you like this you might ask them to hold the NaCl.

Sunday, Jesus was our server. His suggestions were superb. Charming, polite, always smiling. He was beyond amazing! The best service. Food was phenomenal and the drinks were delicious. Thank you so much! My 1st time in Miami and Ole Ole Steakhouse left a fabulous imprint. Much love.

This is a nice place with plenty of room for people to enjoy a night out with friends and family. The staff members are all very kind, the service was great and the food was very tasty. Let me just say that if you are looking for a tender steak (spicy sirloin) I highly recommend this place. The rolls are perfectly brown on the top and fluffy inside. Overall a very nice first experience at Old West Steakhouse.

Was in town for my grandmas funeral and we wanted some southern cooking, found this place and man was it good, best home style cooking I’ve had in years, hands down the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. My husbands steak was melt in your mouth good, and their buffet options were amazing. Fried fish, frog legs, shrimp, fried chicken, pot roast, green beans, fried okra and the list goes on, I didn’t taste anything I didn’t like. Also our server Janet (I think was her name) was awesome, very kind with a smile! My kids said this is the best place ever and everyone is so nice! We are from Missouri and actually discussed driving back once a year and visiting grandmas grave and eating here.

I'm not too impressed with the buffet food at Old West. The vegetables are usually mushy and the meat and fish are good, but not outstanding. If you like soul food, it's an option, but I find the quality mediocre at best. I'd say of all the buffet choices, the fried foods were the best. I'll be trying food a la carte on my next visit. So far, customer service is where Old West Steakhouse really shines. Our server was friendly and attentive, and kept our spirits as full as our glasses.

In my opinion, a so so place to eat. Haven't been here in years. Quality has gone way down since then. Almost 1 pm and not real busy, other places around town were still slammed for Sunday lunch. (EDIT: Owner response is correct... it was Saturday). Buffet wasn't kept full. Bathroom needed attention. Someone was stocking the buffet in shorts and flip-flops. Doesn't give off the air of professionalism.

We love the buffet. They have delicious frog legs, catfish fillets and steaks, and many southern fixing. My favorite is the fresh rolls, be sure to ask for some of the cherry butter, it's so good. Cost 20$ a person or they have a menu. Under a new owner I believe and lots better than years prior.
