Giordano's

Absolutely delicious deep dish. I spent years trying to find solid quality deep dish and always struck out. Not only is it delicious, the service is always amazing. The last couple of times we went our waitress was Coral and she made sure all of our needs were taken care of and was very attentive and brought a great energy to our dining experience. It has become a favorite spot!

This review has been updated with my most recent experience at the bottom of this review. ————— To say that I’m disappointed is an understatement. I’ve been always saying to my family every time we drive by “We really need to go to Giordano’s!” Because I loved it when I went to the location on the pier in Chicago. And then the one time that I get my family to go, it’s a complete train wreck. The wait time wasn’t horrible, especially for a small building. It’s kind of what we expected honestly, so that was a positive start to our experience. Then we get in and seated and it takes a few minutes to be greeted and have our drink orders place, not too bad. During this time though, we mentioned amongst ourselves that it was hot in there and the waiter said “oh yeah, we just had the AC guy here to fix the AC.” Well here in Arizona it’s nice to know if when you’re going indoors to eat if the AC is working or not. Needless to say when I left about an hour and a half after we sat down it was still hot in there. Yes, I left before the rest of my family who is still there at the time of writing this as I needed to get our tiny human home and to bed. The appetizers that we had were good but the biggest issues that we had were the lack of communication about a broken AC until we mentioned it. (It’s summer in Arizona right now…) and then how long it took to get our appetizer order in, and then our main entree order. Then when we wanted drink refills that was a hassle to try to get those. I’m not expecting a fast food restaurant, but having some communication and being able to actually get our food and drinks (and refills) in a timely manner would be greatly appreciated. Really wished that we could have had a better experience for my first time to the location in Arizona and then my families first time for any location. ::REVIEW UPDATE - June 22nd:: My original review is from June 20th was 1 star. Updated to 3 stars. The manager of Giordano’s spoke with my girlfriend and family after I have left and provided an incentive to hopefully dine with them again. With the response to this review, communication in the restaurant and the email that was provided, I am open to giving another shot and have communicated this with the manager as well. ::REVIEW UPDATE - July 21st:: My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant again for my birthday dinner and a date night as our family watched our kids for a few hours. We got seated right away and a clearly noticeable difference with the AC working this time. Mark who was the bartender got our drinks and took our order. Everything was brought out in a timely manner, was hot and tasted great! The pizza was perfect and my girlfriend ended up ordering an entree of the chicken nuggets after she had them on our sampler, that’s how much she loved them. At the end of our meal Mark talked to us about things that we can do for our next visit if we were interested in the deep dish pizza as I asked him about the take home pizzas. Insights like what Mark provided are extremely helpful, as we have a tiny human who can’t always stay at a restaurant for a few hours at a time. Overall this most recent experience was MUCH better and on par with what I experienced in Chicago. Just wanted to say thank you to Heidi, Doug and Mark for making our return enjoyable and we look forward to visiting again soon!

The pizza here is amazing. We got a booth on a raised dias natural wood accent with red covering made this place feel ince an cozy. The sampler was filling. i've never had fried matzarella TRIANGLES before. That was fun. the Manara sauce was to die for it was so beefy and hardy tasting. So full of flavor..so good! You've got to try their cherry lemonade. It was good but the taste strength varried from glass to glass, not cosistent. I loved that the menu had calories listed next to the menu items so you knew what you were getting yourself into. the flavor of the foods was heavenly. Saddly we had to cut our dinner short and had to go right then but it took them 15 minutes to box the pizza so we could go. I didn't feel like service to us was a priority to them once they knew we had to leave.

This is a solid place to eat. Surrounded by 100+ place to eat within 5 miles. Service is great. Great beer prices. They have outdoor seating and very clean and away from the street. Their salad is very good and cheesy bread is off the hook. The spaghetti meat sauce is perfect. I did think the noodles themself were a tad too thin. However would order again. Nice bar inside. Plenty of TV's. Prices are a tad higher then normal. However, we are talking a couple of dollars. Check this place out for late night comfort dining.

First time trying Giordano’s! Definitely a delicious Italian based restaurant. The garlic fries are nothing to fawn over, but the sub was quite tasty. The deep dish pizza is AMAZING. Our server(Chris)was very kind and gave us a few recommendations, and told us the marinara is fresh made in house. Worth a try! You definitely won’t be disappointed.

Another visit (4 in total so far and will continue counting! lol_ AND another AMAZING meatball sub with awesome customer service!! My original review -------------------------------------------------- WOW!!!! If any one reads my reviews, I'm all about the meatballs! Now I get Giordano's pizza any time that I am in Chicago, I am thrilled to have them here in the valley and close to where I live. Always amazing! Funny thing that i never tried their meatball sub... until now and WOW!!! This was one of THE best meatball subs I have ever had!! This is on par, and in a lot of cases even better than, some New York places!! This is the bomb!!!! Delicious to say the least.. it's hands down the best!!! Ordering online for lunch was easy as any other great website, customer service at the restaurant was A++++ Such amazing people, so nice and they put a smile on my face just being who they are. Got my lunch, impressive food presentation but one of the most amazing meatball subs you are ever going to eat!!! 100 stars! lol The bread was fresh and fantastic, the sauce.. AMAZING.. fresh cheese, a side of yummy fries and two generous sides of marinara dipping sauce! I'm blown away!! I can't wait to have their pizza again... more reviews to come because this is my new favorite place and I will be back time and time again!
