Kingswood Arms Neighborhood Pub

Lovely setting, inside has a great traditional feel. Food was decent but a small menu for a pub. Service was very mixed, made a booking but when we arrived they hadn't put us in the correct area and then squeezed us in by putting a few tables together. However, our waiter was great. Would go again but probably just for drinks.

Food was good and service was good . However I have today come home to a parking fine for using the pub car park whilst eating there ! It was pouring down with rain when we arrived and busy so we rushed in and didn’t see that you had to give your car registration to reception . Why would they not advise you of this when you check in …. Unless the pub is profiting from this and are happy for you to get a fined so they benefit financially !!! The food was good but plenty of other pubs with equally nice food who don’t try to profit from you in other ways .

Terrible experience. We were there for a pre-booked 50th birthday lunch. The staff did nothing to make the occasion special. There seemed to be ample staff and the restaurant wasn't very busy but we were ignored by staff who stood around and didn't come over. The menu was uninspiring and our meals took an hour and a half to arrive. Portions were small and overpriced. The food was mediocre at best. Excuses were made for the long wait and bad service but no apology. We had to call staff over whenever we wanted to order extra drinks or have used crockery taken away because they were so unattentive. We had been going there for years but unfortunately it's now gone downhill. We will not be going there again!!
