Beard Papa's

Seems to not be a sweets cafe only place anymore, as the tables are removed and replaced with a bunch of grocery items stacked on the floor? Might be a sign of the pandemic times, not sure. Their cream puff selection was only two options (vanilla and green tea) and the puffs themselves were quite hard and stale tasting, almost like a cracker or stale white bread. The creme filling was nice. But that was about it.

Quite disappointed. I tried the strawberry pistachio mousse cake and it was one of the worst cakes I have ever had. It was extremely stale and wet with leaking yellow water.... See my pictures for reference. Barely edible. The macaroon on top was also squishy and stale. Would not reccomend..... Quite a bad experience.

I love the desserts here, consistently delicious. The drinks, and sugary delights are all excellent. However, what breaks the deal for me is that they do not allow us to split the bill. This is extremely frustrating for a dessert place because when coming in a group, individuals often choose and order their own plates. However, the inability to split the bill makes this incredibly difficult. Furthermore, no credit card is allowed, which doesn't help. Nevertheless, the desserts and drinks themselves are excellent, hence the 4*.
