Mound City Sandwich Shop

Excellent sandwiches and great service. I had the Muenster Melt, and it was simple but fantastically executed and constructed. The folks behind the counter were kind and our sandwiches came out quick. If you’re considering getting sandwiches for lunch, instead of throwing your money at one of the big corporate franchises, hit up Mound City for an affordable, high-quality experience. Places like these are too few nowadays, especially in STL.

Have you ever thought about what your last meal would be? I have, and I'm pretty confident it would be my usual (or anything really) from Mound City. I've been going here since 2010 and it's honestly one of the few places I keep coming back to and, more importantly, recommending to anyone in the Midtown area. The owner and her staff are amazing, and even though there's typically a line out the door the wait time isn't too bad and the quality is always awesome! If you can relate to Joey from Friends, that sandwiches are your favorite food, seriously drop by Mound City the next time you're in Midtown STL during the week. Your wallet and stomach will thank me!

The food is nice the service is nice the atmosphere I haven't really sat down there so I can say I think it's okay but the food is real good let me correct that and the lady that serves the food she makes the Great the best tuna sandwiches in the world 👍🏿the nachos are cool it's a really nice place😊

I've been here twice so far and both sandwiches I got were great. This is one of those places where no matter what you order it'll be at least good if not great. As some others have said, give yourself 15 minutes to wait--it's just the owners and maybe one other person, but they hustle pretty hard and even with long lines I've never been there more than 15 minutes or so. The food is absolutely worth it, though!

I stopped in here today for the 1st time. Conveniently located on Market Street, almost across from Harris Stowe college. Since it was my 1st stop, I decided to go with the best seller. It was called the Mound City Super Stack. I ordered 1/2 of a sandwich, and it came out huge. I was very glad I did not get the full size sandwich. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, and I will be back will be back (probably before the end of the week).
