Gretl German Burger Grill

The burgers were wonderful! The patty tasted heavenly, juicy, with just the right amount of firmness and a very nice bite texture. I had the medium rare and it was just right and perfectly done. The fries were of the thinner variation and nicely done, going well with the sauce. Too bad they are stopping operations soon. Hope they will return again in the near future. Highly recommended to give their burgers a try before they stop operations.

Well, the burger and fries were tasty but they are on the small side and I didn't really feel it justified the price. I got a side of pickles for my burger but they are served as two whole small pickles. I thought they would come sliced so I could put them in the burger (since it's listed as a topping?) Anyways I just ate them separately. My fries were cooked perfectly but my friends were way underdone and basically white.

Not the best burger in town. Compared to other burger joints like Threebu**, their burgers taste very standard and a bit overpriced. Meat is quite juicy, cheese is nice but not wow, can't really taste what they claim by the "secret sauce". The fries is overly cooked, maybe they want to make it very crispy but somewhat too dry and not enjoyable (see photo). However, service is good and friendly. I ask for ketchup & mayo for my fries and they give a generous portion.

Nice location on level four of Orchard Central with easy access from Somerset MRT. I really like the setup here overlooking the walkway on level one and the library. Also I like the fact that you can order from Super Greek as well as Omakase Burger. Service was friendly. You order with a QR code at your table but pay at the counter when you are finished. Prices are high... $19.90 for bacon cheeseburger and fries, then add on soft drink for $1.50. The burger was really tasty and included salad. The fries however were dreadful... the cheapest tasteless fries that were not served very hot either. Id much prefer a smaller portion of nicer fries than this large portion of rubbish fries.

Classic cheeseburger with impossible beef chilli fries and fresh orange juice. This burger stands out for the high quality bun used which tastes good by itself. Coupled with the beef patty. Can't wait to try out the other toppings. Take note that the fries are shoestring fries, not the thick cut kind. If you are not a fan of shoestring fries, it might be better to give the fries a miss.
