Itacho Sushi Bugis Junction

1st visit to Itacho Sushi @ Bugis. Took a while for us to get a seat. Place quite packed even before dinner hours. We were given a nice booth seat at the side of the glass panels. I request for change of table cos I dont want people from waiting line to be looking at us eating, i will feel very uncomfortable. The Supervisor did a change for us shortly. 🙏 We ordered via QR, we do not have Itacho app. The ordering process was easy and user friendly. Our drinks and food arrived fast. 😍 Food items was fresh, tasty and of good standards. Hot dishes like Soup🥣, Salmon Fin and Seafood Tempura were served hot. Sashimi very fresh!🍣 Sushi and maki, size of the rice balls were bigger than what i have expected, i underestimated the portions and over ordered.😅 Service team were attentive, drinks were topped up promptly without having the need to remind. There was only 2 service personnel on floor and 1 food runner to manage a full house. None of them showed any unhappiness or attitude at any time. They were really good 👏👏👏 Kudos to Supervisor Carmen, She is sincere, full of patience and polite all the time.👍 Recommended place to go ~ for good food and good service! 😉

Having high expectations after having been to other Itacho Sushi stores in Singapore. Today’s food quality was so-so and portions were a tad small. Lack of presentation. Desert quality was poor, ice-cream was flaky and red bean was tasteless. Below expectations and not in par with the price charged. Table service is normal, attentive and prompt. This branch has room for improvement.

Had the smoked duck maki & the tempura ebi/spicy salmon maki from the promotion menu. Both are good but the stand out is definitely the ebi maki which is extremely creamy and flavourful due to the abundance of sauce. Also had the baked scallops with rice (forgot to take photo) from the promotion menu which is baked with a slightly mentaiko cream sauce and a soft egg yolk in the middle. This has got to be the best baked rice ever. I hate mentaiko normal but this sauce is not the super over powering flavour and somehow there is a balance. The 3 dishes are all around $10 ~ $12 each before gst/SC, which is quite affordable considering the gave like around 6 pieces each and it's quite filling.

My top top favorite and must-have each time is always the Roasted Salmon with Tenkasu Roll, topped up with some crispy Temperua Crumbs. You definitely cannot go wrong with this. Have tried this same dish across multiple outlets - Ion, Bugis, Plaza Sing and City Square mall. Presentation and taste are all pretty similar. This is under the promotional menu (screenshot shown) and cost $10.80 per set of 6. Enough to fill you up if you are not too hungry. Salmon is roasted to a delightful standard and just melts in your mouth with each bite! The Beef Teppanyaki with Black Truffle is also a top menu favorite for many - comes piping out and tastes super fresh! Ordering and payment is fuss free. No need to leave your seat at all.
