Applebee's

Went last night. 1/24/22. Food was horrible. Got onion rings for an appetizer. Tasted like they were cooked with shrimp. I ordered ribs off of the 2/$35, split with my granddaughter. Ribs were dry and burnt. I ask for a baked potato. Got mashed potato. My granddaughter got salmon. She said it was just ok. My son, who usually cleans his plate, ordered one of the burgers. He ate nearly half and did not finish it. He said it wasn’t good. He didn’t eat the fries either. We didn’t leave any food at our table. Got “to go” box and brought it home for the chickens. Expensive chicken food!!!! Waitress was ok. Could have been better. But, she was busy bussing tables also. Won’t go back.

I'm not much of an Applebee's consumer but thought what the heck, let's try it out Decided to get $2/25 and asking for two teas. Needless to say the food was not too bad, but when you see that the kitchen uses a measuring scoop for mash potatoes you have to assume they are extremely careful not to overserve. I felt as if I was ordering from a cafeteria. Server was good and friendly, so overall experience not too shabby. Will I be back? Um not sure just yet.

Stopped by last night around 11:30pm. My colleague and I sat at the bar. The bartender was talking to some folks at the end of the bar. We were totally ignored. We waited 5 minutes and was not even acknowledge. Bartender seemed more interested in entertaining his friends than serving customers. The bad thing about it was that we walked past the bartender to seat ourselves and when we left. He saw us but refused to served us. Typical small town attitude towards strangers. First time visiting and my last time visiting.

So we are from out of town and we called the local Applebee's here in Paris, TX. so we could order our favorite meals we confirmed the time their kitchen shut down so we could get it ordered without any issues and told the man who answered we would call them right back with our order. We called directly back and no one answered. So I decided I'm only 5 minutes away I'll go in and order. We work nights mind you so it's dinner time and we are hungry. I was informed that their kitchen shut down 15 minutes or so ago so we couldn't eat. This was the bartender that told us this. She did not offer salads or anything that didn't need grilled she shrugged and walked off. RUDE PEOPLE I was a restaurant general manager and I would have fired my 2 staff members that decided closing early and being rude is a better way to back the Applebee's name!!! We love Applebee's so I hope this store does some retraining of their staff.
